Cardiff University BLS Campaign Video

We partnered with our good friends Spindogs to produce a campaign video and photography suite for Cardiff University’s College of Biomedical and Life Sciences (BLS). The aim was to raise awareness of the school and encourage applications by showing the real, lived experience of studying healthcare and life sciences in Cardiff.

Titled A Place Where, the campaign follows five students across different disciplines, including medicine, nursing, dentistry, optometry, and pharmacy. Each student was filmed in their day-to-day university environment, combining natural interviews with cinematic footage to capture ambition, personality, and purpose.

Filming focused on authenticity rather than scripted messaging. By grounding each story in real spaces and real routines, the video presents an honest picture of student life across the BLS community.

Post-production included 4K editing, animation, and typographic motion design, with the campaign line A Place Where… woven throughout the film. The final outputs were delivered in both English and Welsh, supporting Cardiff University’s recruitment strategy and inclusivity goals.

This project is a strong example of how we approach campaign video for universities and public sector organisations; combining documentary-style storytelling with design-led animation and a clear visual structure suited to large-scale education campaigns.
